About:
Merimies muistelee is a collection of central lyrical texts with a thematic context. The poems are often about traveling away and returning home, where a journey takes on a symbolic meaning. Belonging to one’s own culture and home region has a great thematic significance.
The new edition consists of a book of poems / photos and a CD. The book is 66 pages and contains text in Norwegian and English in addition to Kven language, and is adorned with exciting photographs by Oddleiv Apneseth. The CD is an audiobook (80 min.) with original sound by Alf Nilsen Børsskog’s own reading, this time put together with soundscape and music composed by jazz artist Arve Henriksen.
